Yesterday, we went to Fresco for breakfast. I was able to order one of their wraps on their GF bread. I got the Morning Wrap which had three eggs, vermont cheddar, crispy bacon and fresh avocado. I got it served with the side of fruit. This was VERY filling.

While there, we had dinner @agricolaeatery which was right in the heart of Princeton. Our server was helpful in ensuring that my choices were gluten-free and made free from cross-contamination. I had the chopped spring salad to start. For my main dish, I had jerk shrimp tacos which had a nice flavor. We also stopped at a nearby Whole Foods to stock up on food for the kiddos as there were a lot of events going on and not a lot of time to sit down for meals.
Happiness is being back within the delivery zone of the entirely GF @modernbreadandbagel . I started my day with some latke tots and a bagel with cream cheese and lox. Those latke tots are life changing!
While there are only a handful of items that @secretbao can make safe for someone with celiac, they are all super delicious. I recently had the sugar snap peas and Burrata as well as the Japchae. They have a gluten-free sauce that they can substitute for some of their dishes. It tasted great with the Japchae.
Happy Meatless Monday! I recently enjoyed the Thai Fried Organic Tofu from @threemonkeyssb located in the @sbpublicmarket . The tofu was GF and made in a dedicated gluten-free fryer. I also had a side of jasmine rice and Thai iced tea. I was hoping to order the hungry box with tofu, but unfortunately they do not offer the tofu as one of the hungry box options. Perhaps they will in the future!
Last night, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo at the very festive @augiessb in downtown Santa Barbara. Our server was super helpful in confirming whether items were safe for me or not. Our group shared a bunch of dishes. We had the queso which was GF as it. It was served with corn tortillas that they were able to make on a clean surface. The guacamole came with chips. However, they do not have a GF fryer so if you have celiac, you will need to pass on those and enjoy it with corn tortillas instead. The ceviche is served with plantains that are made in the non-GF fryer, but it was delicious without them. We also shared the octopus tacos and the barbacoa in banana leaf. Both of those dishes were gluten-free as is. The margs were great, and even with it being a packed house, the service was wonderful. We will definitely be returning!
Last night’s special branzino @trelunemontecito did not disappoint. It was prepared with fennel and tomato and was delicious. They often dust flour on the fish, so they omitted the flour and cooked it on a clean surface and with clean tools for me.
